OT: snow

So who else had a lot of snow? I'm sure Judy up in Penfield did. She probably had a lot more than we had in the Mid Hudson Valley. We also had wind that made things much worse. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas in Amherst,MA with a DD. We had planned on staying until tonight. The family was supposed to meet today, as we do every year during Christmas week. Didn't happen for obvious reason. We were also supposed to bring a DGD home with us for a few days. We hope we can get her later this week.We left DD's house at 6:45 yesterday morning and got home before anything happened, got to the grocery store and filled in on a few extra things to hold me over for a few days. When we looked outside late last night there were deer tracks in the yard. I hope they found a little shelter. Ir's so hard for them to find enough food in weather like yesterday.I have no idea of how much snow we had yesterday, but it was a lot. Certainly more than 12 inches but less than

20 inches. The plow has done the driveway and the roads have been cleared. The neighborhood children are going to have a great time sledding, that's for sure. It's pretty outside and cold, but the wind has died down and that's what's really important. So I think I'll kick back and enjoy this snow while it's clean and bright. Juno

Frosty mornings but bright days with lovely sun, it doesn't last that long but is very pleasant here at the moment.

Here in my part of the Great White North we only got about 6 inches of wet, heavy snow before it turned to rain. It made shoveling hard because it was so heavy and apparently some trees and/or power lines got a bit tired of standing so there have been some outages, but everything looks good now. Nothing like the amount of snow Ron A. got in his area or what they got in New York City, and that's fine with me. :-)
