I'm New! Hello Everybody!!

Isn't it Reader's Digest that has a section called "Laughter, the best Medicine"?? Here's an earworm: just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down... the medicine go down, the medicine go down. just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down in the most delightful way!

Hugs, Noreen

Thank you for the BIG and GENTLE hugs, Dee... right back at you! :o) LOL Mirjam, I actually just notice that I had typed "GENTILE" there before I fixed it... made me laugh and I thought you'd enjoy it too. ;o)

It really is difficult sometimes to get people who don't feel the pain to understand that it's there, because we tend to *look* fine and even healthy. Even my son who sees me every day will often forget that I have something that makes me weaker than I ever used to be, and in more pain too. I will bring him a jar or bottle to open, and he looks at me like he's thinking {And WHY can't you do this... this in nothing compared to the huge bags of dog food you used to hoist up on your shoulders!}and I have to remind him... I can't do this now, remember? Some jars and bottles are okay... but on days when the arthritis in my fingers start up... or even just the pains shooting down my arms is unbearable... then I can't do it at all.

On the days that I don't need my cane for walking (it's *always* in my van when I go anywhere now though, because I have found that things can change from one hour to the next and if I suddenly have major pain in my legs and don't have my cane with me... I'm in trouble for trying to walk) no one can tell that there is anything wrong with me unless I am having a really bad day with lots of pain in other areas (or one of the other lovely symptoms that come along with it is acting up) that tends to show on my face.

Don't you just love how the pain moves around from one area to the other too? At the moment (for the last 1 1/2 weeks in fact) I am having a lot of pain in my right elbow and it recently moved on to both of my shoulders along with staying in my elbow. I have times when my arms feel like heavy weights that hurt to pick them up. My legs aren't too bad at the moment... although my left leg is a bit weaker (has been since I sprained it 14 years ago and tore all the ligaments from the ankle to the hip) and I do have a slight limp on not so good days.... worse on bad days of course.

Ah well, such is life. You deal with what you get. And... as my son and I are customed to living by... what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. ;o)

Take care! Gemini

If you like canned peaches too, you *have* to put some on top of chocolate ice-cream... it is my FAVORITE thing to eat. Well, that and strawberries! ;o)

LOL Sorry to have tempted you, Donna! Every once in a while you *have* to give into temptation (when it comes to food anyway... and yarn buying, of course)... so if you do, you really have to try the canned peaches on top of chocolate ice-cream, it is soooo good! ;o)
