OT: the trolls and delurking month

I believe we're seeing more trolls due to January being 'de-lurking month'... I'm seeing new commenters on blogs for this same reason... N.

Trollbaiting can be so entertaining!

Reply to the list as I do not publish an email address to USENET. This practice has cut my spam by more than 95%. Of course, I did have to abandon a perfectly good email account...

I usually try to restrain myself but that crazy b***c in RSSIF is so entertaining, I can't help it. Zinged her a good one the other day, and she totally ducked. Heh, heh, heh. Smack my hands and keep them off the keyboard!! :>) ;>)

yep - you're right - it is about figure skating, and at times is way nasty. You wouldn't even know me there sometimes. I'm flameproof, and love to bait the stupid trolls, but as said before, I usually manage to restrain myself and ignore them. That ng has been quite quiet the last little while, and now that skating is "heating" up, there's more chatter on the group. There are only a couple of stupid trolls there right now.....

It is because Epiphany comes in January. My "epiphany" came when I learned that to get a traditional gansey texture, I must use thicker yarn on thinner needles. With circular needles, thick yarn on thin needles gets to be tendon tearing work. Folks like Wooly can do that because they have strong hands. But my hands are not that strong - so I must find better tools. You may see me as a troll, but I was making a serious call to the knitting community to popularize better tools to do fine knitting.

Most of us knit for fun, so let us knit really nice stuff. And, let's not tear our wrists up doing it.
