What kind of knitter are you?

I have knit since I was 4and that is 47 years now! I am mostly a winter knitter and do less in the summer BUT do not know what will happen this year as I usually get the wool projects done prior to the spring and this year still have sleeves on the Chanel jackets to go and then a vest for hubby/vest for me with Black Water Abbey yarns. I may continue longer this year since I have so many projects left. My, I knit a lot of things this winter. More than lots of years previously.barbie

I guess I'm in the minority around here. I came out a "knitting purist." I'm not sure if that a good thing to be or not?

Now, having said that I have a question. In one of the questions it asks about left and right leaning decrease. They say SSK is a right leaning decrease and K2 together is a left leaning decrease. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Mine said Knitting Apprentice. Very accurate but I hope to change that!

You appear to be a Knitting Apprentice. You've got the basics down pat and you might just be falling in love with this hobby. Big needles, funky yarns and simple shapes are the name of the game, but it doesn't mean you don't experiment a bit, here and there. As an apprentice, you probably fall back on other people to get you through those rough spots, and if you don't know anyone who knits, you probably have a few books or online sources to tap.

You know, I was thinking the same thing. I even went over to the sweater I'm working on and tried to figure it out, but it was no help because I'm doing paired decreases so the line of decreases looks straight and it's the stitches to either side that lean in toward the decrease line. The SSK's are the left of the pair so the stitches leaning toward them are leaning to the right.

When I saw this, I had the same thought and went to go to my Vogue Knitting to verify. By the way, I never got through the test because some of the questions didn't choices that fit me. I must be a Knitting Oddball. LOL
