Husqvarna Quilt Designer and Fuses

Hello. I have a Husqvarna Quilt Designer which I am now afraid to use because I have blown so many fuses. Granted, I am not an expert quilter, but the machine is very unforgiving. The slightest pull will disable it; has anyone ever heard of this problem. I could use some advice. Thank you.
