OT:My kids have been sick all week!!! Aghh

Well, I am taking both of my kids to the Dr. this AM as I cannot take it anymore. Both have been sick all week and my 4 1/2 yo has had a 102 fever for the past 4 days. On top of it all I am sick to with a head cold (Probably got from them)! What can ya do!!!! I even think my Poor Mom has gotten something too. It has been a crazy week and I must say that the SSSS to put under my tree really picked me up. Thank you whomever you are!! God Bless!!! My poor Mom recently was approved for Medicaid to come and help her here at the house. We have already gone through 2 Aides as both were horrible. The last one would take naps for 1 or 2 hours and not keep up house (ie: clean bathroom, mop floor etc...). So, we are waiting for a replacement. Please say a prayer that things will get better soon as I cannot take much more of this!!!!!!!!!!!!

God Bless to all, Dorothy in NY

Dorothy,

I'm sorry about all your ailes. My dad came down on Thanksgiving with a cold and it just arrived in my lungs this weekend. I can't imagine what horrors you must be going through.

Sorry about the nurses aids. I hope you find something soon.

Having sick kids is never fun. I've been feeling quezy and dizzy and light headed and figured I was just run down after the two surgeries. Turns out both my lower sinuses are infected. So lets add some antibiotic and decongestant to the medical cocktail they already have me on!

Hopefully your kids will be right as rain in no time!

M-C P.S. Have you received the two paperbag albums yet?

Hi Dorothy,

Sorry to hear you're family is feeling under the weather!

Sending some Get Well Wishes, Hugs, & Prayers to you that everyone will feel better soon! Hopefully the new replacement aid will work out better for you!

I feel sick all the time /my bad allergies, so when I'm out N about & people think I'm sick I say no, not unless I'm sick just about 365 days a year! Somedays are better than others.

The worst thing is visiting my Mom in the Nursing Home & people think I'm sick! Soon she'll be back home since her PT is getting better & is able to walk again w/the walker. It's been almost a year last Christmas she had problems walking so she's been in the hospital they found out she had an infection in her back, gave her IV antibiotics then sent her for rehab to the NH where she got an allergic reaction so back to the hospital again, then back to the NH for PT & developed sepsis while being treated so yet again another scary hospital trip & days in ICU were really bad being put on a temporary vent, kidneys were getting dialysis, too much acid in her blood, needed transfusions.

She is better now all the lab work is back to normal, she can walk 30 steps w/a walker & having someone help her since she is legally blind due to glaucoma problems. She has learned to also feed herself w/out being able to see very good they gave her a certificate of achievement she told me the other day while I was there visiting.

She loves to do crafts so I need to find out when they do this or just have my own crafts to do w/her & her room mate in the conference room since there's a bigger table there.

I need to go buy some ribbon @ MICHAEL'S since she loves to make ribbon roses. Before all this happened to her we had plans of her going to the local senior center showing everyone how to make these ribbon roses & also they will let her sell craft stuff in there boutique & get a percentage of it!

Happy Hollydays!
