Husqvarna software

Does anyone here use Husqvarna software? I have created a design with a cats head, and with wording beneath it , from the built in fonts. I now find the density of the words is too great, & i want to have it looser, but I can't work out how to do the words but not the cats head. I have been to stitch editor and tried to delete the words so I can do them again, but it is not easy. ( do I have to start from scratch ? :( I do hope not ! )

I don't have an answer for you, (I have a Brother machine and use Embird) but you might be able to find one at alt.sewing.mach-embroider. There are a lot of people there who know quite a lot.

We only have older Husqvarna embroidery software in the Customizer. Normally we do fonts separately from the artwork and piece them together after each is the way we want. Did you do the cat's head with digitiser or is it a stock design? It really might be easier delete the lettering and do it separately.

Thanks to all who replied :-) It was a stock design. I also have the older software, V6.1 In the end I had to start from scratch, but this is not nessesary, as I did ring Husqvarna Nottingham and a wonderful lady helped me there. Husqvarna on-line still have not come back to me :-( How would you have deleted the lettering, as this is what I needed to know, and as I was sitting in front of the PC and was talked through, I did not have time to write it down.. and now I CAN'T REMEBER ! Grrrrrrrr. I would be grateful isf anyopne can tell me again. Thanks.

There is an excellent yahoo group called 'digitisewithhus' where any questions with HV digitising will be answered.

In our old software, it would mean highlighting the lettering and deleting it one letter at a time. Normally I don't save the lettering along with the graphic; they are kept separate. If you saved the whole thing as one unit, not certain you can delete the lettering separately.

Yes, that was the problem, as it was combined .. ( maybe I should avoid doing that trick in future :) Thanks for the reply :)
