"Although I have organized many other conferences in the past, this will be my first effort in the fascinating realm of beads, and I have been drawing upon the expertise of several leading bead and beadwork specialists to help me, among them, Jamey Allen, Valerie Hector, and Deborah Zinn. I would like to invite you and your friends and colleagues to join all of us in Istanbul from November 22-25, 2007, and attend the International Bead & Beadwork Conference (IBBC). In addition to academic presentations, there will be a bazaar full of beads from many international dealers, workshops with leading instructors, and a series of extraordinary exhibitions in local Turkish museums.
