They automatically stick two lines at the bottom of your page advertising their service but otherwise no popup ads or anything. The interface for uploading is really easy and works better then web-based interfaces I've used elsewhere. I don't think you can ftp, but you can upload a zip file with the structure you want already set up, which helps a lot.
