I'm thinking of getting a sewing machine, but for $500 I can get an embroidery machine with computer interface like the Singer Futura CE-100.
Questions: Some web site says the CE-100 is not a full sewing machine. What does that mean? Can this machine make multi-color embroidery? If so, I assume it does one color at a time. But how does it line up the first color with the subsequent color?
How is this different from embroidery machines that cost $2000?
Peter, you should visit Singer's web site and other websites and do some homework on exactly what a sewing machine will do, what an embroidery machine will do, and what a combination sewing and embroidery machine will do.
Then there is the science of needles, thread, stabilizers and the combination of it all. This is not a cheap hobby by any means so you will have to expense for supplies for the machine.
