Brother PE-150 service manual?

Does anyone have access to a PE-150 (or Babylock Espree, etc) service manual? Or have experience working on these machines?

I'm looking for some alignment procedures for the belts. I had to replace one of the shafts (frozen bearing) and I think something is out of sync between the two belts (needle vs. bobbin). Is there a trick to get everything aligned correctly?

Any time you perform major surgery, such as replacing a shaft, you would then have to set the timing, and possibly the height of the needle. This is something best left to your friendly, neighbourhood Brother dealer, but almost any sewing machine repair shop should be able to handle it.

If you're going to throw caution to the wind and try it yourself, look for set screws on pulleys or gears on shafts that drive the hook and feed dogs.

Re-reading your post, it's unclear if it's a timing issue, or if the pulleys and belts don't line up. Perhaps the shaft that was replaced has not been positioned exactly where it should be?

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I may have to give in and take it to a repair shop. I have done

99% of the repair though and would like to complete it (for my own satisfaction!).

It was a bearing on one of the vertical shafts that was frozen up. I replaced the entire shaft but don't believe I have the bottom belt aligned correctly with the top needle assembly. It sews, but will break the upper thread when it gets to a part of the design where it speeds up. I haven't taken a look at it in awhile but hope to in the next couple days.

I was hoping there was some easy procedure to line everything up correctly. Like "have the needle at the highest position, then rotate lower belt (one that drives bobbin) to X position.

Thanks.
