i bought the click-n-stitch digitizing softwear, but seem to have misplaced any directions. Anyone who can email me and advise on basic use, it would be appreciated (or maybe where to get directions?). It seems when i put in a basic picture, it digitizes it, but pulls up so many colors that a simple picture of 5 visible colors comes out at 29 and when i try to delete some, the picture doesn't come out right. Any help appreciated. thanks.

The manual is available on-line from Amazing Designs. Here's the direct link:

own suggestions:
Click 'n Stitch is not made for digitizing "pictures" (which includes anything either scanned or photographed). You need to prepare your images a bit before letting CnS loose on them.
For example:
Edit your image (in PaintShopPro or PhotoShop or MSPaint or most image viewers) and reduce the number of colors to 16.
and/OR
when you get to the "tolerance" screen, increase the tolerance level so it will treat more similar colors as being the same.
