Bathroom window tinting?

I've been asked a couple of times what I could do to have windows (like bathroom, sliding patio doors) provide better privacy. Removing them for sandblasting or etching is not an option (not set up for that). Unless etching can be done while the glass is vertical (mounted in the door)? I got to thinking about window tinting adhesive film. I'd appreciate any words of wisdom, or suggestions for better/easier ways to make glass not see-through. And nope, they didn't wanna go for wallpaper :) Remove the door maybe and glue/laminate another piece of glass on the existing glass? Bart.
