The thermostat on my coffee maker is *set* to 197°F at the factory. Of course, I can adjust it anywhere from there down to 182°F if I so choose. The concept of "setting" something implies adjustability... so what is the range of settings on this tip then?

But the implication in the auction copy is that THAT particular tip is adjustable. I own a Weller, and I own different tips for it. If I were to buy the 900 degree tip, I would want to know how to adjust it to a different setting, as you imply is possible in your auction copy.

The 900 degree tip I had about 11 years ago could NOT magically make a 100 watt iron put out more than 100 watts. How do your tips manage to do that?

The reality is: Dennis got banned. (Not that I didn't already know that for certain.)
Sort of leaves r.c.g as your only playground, eh? Unfortunately, this newsgroup isn't moderated, or your silly fat ass would be left talking to the ghosts on your own forum.
One more piece of reality for you, n*****ts: Nobody gives a shit about 900F tips. That's why Weller quit making them. It's called supply and demand...no demand means no supply. Even your ignorant self ought to be able to figure that out.
But maybe not. There's no demand for your bullshit, but you keep on supplying it, anyway.

Huh? Bwahahahah.
Even for you, that's an outrageously stupid claim.

There *is* an explanation that would be plausible for slightly increased production, and I was giving you a chance to somewhat redeem yourself, but alas...

Twice as fast as with an 800.
900 twice as fast as 800? Is that on the Richter scale?- Vote on answer

If the mass is the same, than how does the same amount of solder stay molten longer? Even hotter solder will take roughly the same time to harden.

I think it's on the Rectum scale.
