we just got back from the aquarium today and I am so inspired by all the sea life and beautiful colors, textures and shapes. There were some WILD sea horses too that looked like grass. I can't wait to get on my torch!

The ones that look like grass are called sea dragons. I love them! I had a pair when we lived in Austin. When we moved almost all my seahorses died and I haven't gotten any more I was so heartbroken.

that's funny, my son (3) thought some of them looked like dragons rather than horses as well. He had a hard time seeing the big ones that looked like grass though - I think he really thought they were plants, not animals. I think I need to go back there some time without him so I can actually take the time to read the descriptions of all these things rather than rushing from one tank to the next.

Sorry about your sea horses - our beta just died after having him for 2 years. I'm happy not to have to clean his bowl any more, but he was a nice friendly fish.
