You weren't "slammed", but you sure are a crybaby, and since when do two wrongs make a right? Rules? Have you read the charter? Steve posts that sucker every time he gets online. It's out there. Somebody else wrote it.

Fair play, give me a break, that doesn't exist anywhere since the playground, but we try not to get all worked up about it. Just maintain....even keel, ignore the idiots who start political shit, they will go away if you don't respond, which JK knows, but he is an antagonist..... me, I just like to draw attention to weird stuff. AND I DO try to be helpful ..... even tho Mikey don't think so...his area of expertise is different than mine...

I haven't actually posted it in... I don't know how long. I wrote a 'bot that posts it the 1st and 16th of the month...

Hmmm... since I'm online 24/7, that would be tricky. ;-)

Somebody else wrote the original charter... which I reworked into the present version with plenty of input from this group, and I also took it through the ratification process.

(Oops. I hope my slide rule didn't just show. Did someone discover the pocket protector that's still in my toolbox? Sorry, Flamin'Wind, no tape on these titanium frames.)

Fair play... isn't that darts at balloons, rings on bottle necks, etc. all for some trinket of a prize that cost less than your ticket to play?

Arlene you can't be a regular on any NG and not occasionally post and/or answer OT stuff. Personally I couldn't care less if you posted a joke every day. It's my choice to read it or not. Try not to be thin skinned, and try not to get yourself bullied. We have no official boss here. You're responsible for your own conduct. It's really easy to just killfile anyone you want, and them you. The reason it's not done too often is that we all crave the stage and the limelight. If we didn't, most of the ongoing crappola would be private emails. Essentially do what you want, but keep in mind my #1 rule of internet chat. "The number of enemies and flamers you get is directly proportional to how many posts you make".

She's posting via google, so no killfile there. She HAS to read everything posted whether she wants to or not!

Ahem, as one seeker of the limelight (and I would NEVER deny it) to all the others, a question. Is it just a starting post being off topic that gets folks panties in a wad? 'Cuz an awful lot of postings here that initially start out on topic tend to straggle far afield. Even if we put Dennis-bashing aside, I'm thinkin' someone's latest fishing trip, unless captured in a glorious window or mosaic, is not exactly on topic. And a post is a post is a post, right? Personally I appreciate the asides. If all I wanted was sterile information...why, I would read a book! But I enjoy this group...not only for the great info (and I personally can attest to the fact that Javahut has been very helpful and informative) but for getting to know the different (and entertaining) personalities of the persons helping me. It has a more "communal" feel to it.

Based on this rule, JK, I have to assume that Dennis is the world champion of postings.

Oh....and to be "officially" on topic...I fused and drilled some glass today.

Topic? the topic is off topic so that last bit, while truly an effort to stay with the group definition, was off topic to the original post.....just so you know, I noticed. As far as the rest of it, OK.
