Nope
I'm pretty sure that hydro-fluric acid can help you with the glass removal.
in the mean time maybe try a book or a class

[Don't try this at home, kids. Hydroflouric acid is one of the most toxic materials around. No doubt Liam was joking, but some people really believe the stuff they're told, even on the Internet...]

WOW. I have seen more snide and nasty comments made to people in responce to questions on this group in this first visit than I have seen total in the groups I am a frequent member of over the last 6 years. Instead of suggesting a particular book or web resource comments like below are commonly made- or other such snide things like "hammers" what is wrong with you people? were you not ever taught manners? to be soo rude and unhelpful to people requesting on-topic info. jeesh I know where not to bother ever comming again. hope you all have a miserable time togeather since that seems to be the goal here... to make others miserable!!

I'm heartbroken. Sniff.
Number one item mentioned in "How to use Usenet, 101" is to Lurk, Read, Search Archives, then ask your question. Someone comes to Newsgroups for the first time, maybe just "discovered", or "found", Usenet, states that fact, then asks such a broad question, is obviously a troll! They are posting a sign that says "Please Flame me!"
I don't go to an automotive newsgroup and say this is my first time here, how do I build a car. If I did such a thing I would expect to be chastised beyond belief.
Newsgroups, Usenet, is the last place in the world for an inconsiderate idiot. It is where people come for answers to questions, but some sort of effort must be put forth by those looking. If a person is too lazy to read, and search, for answers to questions that have been asked hundreds of times, then they get what they ask for.
Incidentally, why didn't you answer the question instead of chastising the people who were having a bit of fun? Yup, fun, I saw the tongue in the cheek on every answer.
welp, i have done some research, looked at a few books, etc...i also cant do searches from this setup on newsgroups. so your remarks are useless anyways. just curious if anyone has done this and what was the best way since i cant find any info on the way that I want this project done. you kids have fun...hammers....haha..man...thats pretty funny.....
Why can't you do searches on newsgroup archives? Just go to
You didn't ask an intelligent question to start with, so it makes me wonder how in hell you'd even know if any answers you got were right or not.
You must be fresh out of public school where everything is sugar coated with politically correct bull pucky. Where reality has no place. Where you are taught that the whole world will be sensitive to your needs and no ones feelings will ever get hurt......
SORRY......but not sorry to see ya go!
Come on back when you have something to say about glass.
From your original post I can't tell if you want to make glass from scratch or connect pieces of glass that has already been made. This is not a bad crowd, but help us out here.
Original poster certainly got "hammered" by a few of the regulars!
enough ambiguity in the original question as to allow a plethora of answers. as for "stained glass"...right on!!!!!the stuff we use is colored glass, that is colored in manufacturing Stained glass, usually stained with paint, as in painted on monochrome glass or clear.
enjoy, h

Sure it removes the glass but the stains are left

New to the group so sorry for the late post. HF acid dissolves glass, has an affinity for human tissue, and is difficult to neutralize. Spill it on yourself and depending on amount & concentration, the affected area could require surgical removal. Not for the neophyte to experiment with.
And you will find that every newsgroup has a clique of regulars that will savage a newbie like a pack of hyenas on a baby gazelle, and then tell the bewildered victim to toughen up.
