Altering sweaters

Honestly, I took the "easy" way out and had gastric bypass. I was just having too many health problems to sit back and not address the problem head on (diabetes, sleep apnea, knee arthritis). I felt like I had the health of an 80 year old. And approaching 40, I also had fertility on my mind. I knew I had to take drastic action and fast. It hasn't been easy, but I absolutely will never regret going through it! Now, I eat mostly protein and fruit (breads and pastas can make me ill), and adhere to strict portion control. I totally miss being able to pig out on whatever I want, but that's all psychological. I will do fast food once in awhile to satisfy the craving, but a couple fries (and I do mean a couple) and half a small sandwich is enough to satisfy the "need".

Psst! Gill! Try inserting a gusset in the side seams of your shirts. And move the buttons a tad more toward the centre. There's lots of ways to get rid of those blessed safety pins, trust me!

(Found out the other day I take an F cup. Hoo-bl**dy-rah. And how appropriate. I s'pose it could've been worse. Could've been W or something...) =:-0

Ain't that the truth. And just wait until they start doing stuff.

I've managed 10 bags of clothes, mine, DD and some of DH's out of the house to the local thrift shop in the last year.

I've got hips now, that I didn't use to have before kids. At 140, I figure the bottoms will still be 14 pants.

If she wants to feel tall she can stand next to me.

Cheryl PS - tell your hubby that DS is on to his 3rd set of pads since the ones we bought from you. HOPEFULLY, he's down growing.

My advice is to pass em on. You'll get a good feeling of having helped someone else, and avoid an unhappy alteration result, in which case NO one would benefit and you'll just be upset. and have to buy new anyway.

My DS has hit 6'2" and DD is about 5'6" now - soon I'll be a shorty in my house!
