Cone 4 Glazes

I am having trouble sourcing C4 glazes. They are to go on quite textured non functional pieces, usually in conjunction with oxides (parts with glaze and parts with oxide, not necessarily oxide under the glaze) so while they need to provide good coverage, I dont want them to obliterate the texture, probably more of a translucent type of glaze. Because of the apparent scarcity of recipes, I am not worried about the colour and whether they are gloss, satin or matt. I have searched my usual sites such as Clayart, Pottery Making etc and done a google search with little success. Is there anyone on the group who is happy to share their C4 glazes with me to be used down here in little ol' New Zealand?

Hugh,

I assume you've tried firing cone 6 glazes and they're not what you want. Have you tried mixing a small amount of a clear cone 04 glaze with a cone 6 glaze? This is sort of a crude approach, but it might work. It's certainly easy.
