Idenitifying a 'quasi' deco bust

Nov 07, 2004 1 Replies

Dear Pottery Buffs,

I've just bought a large (50cm high) ceramic bust of a pouting lady, fashioned after a deco style, but it seems to be relatively modern. There's a makers stamp inside but it's difficult to make out. The second name appears to be 'Patterson'. I'd like to find out something about the maker and where the bust may come form. Does this ring any bells with anyone out there? Or can you suggest a more appropriate news-group where I might find the answer?

Thanks.

this it? I did a simple google keyword search "patterson" ceramic.rec.antiques.marketplace would probably be the best place for your question. Also check out your local library for antique guide books. -nancy-
