Varying Raku Fire Temperatures

Does anyone have experience with Raku firing in an electric kiln, well I had to switch to this method because of a move I made, I have my fiber kiln sittin' in my garage. Meanwhile, I have had several firing in a small electric kiln and I have been firing to cone six and sometimes about varying with lower temps. I have observed twice that lowering the temp to 1750F to

1780F rather than 1816F reduced better, it could be the magic of all the right elements coming together at once to make this happen, but I could swear that cone 6 is not the greatest temp for my Raku glazes (commercial, Laguna). Anyone have any ideas?
