Binding

I swear, I swear, when I put the binding on the chess quilt it sprouted an extra corner. I *SWEAR* I went around 5 corners. I swear.

Lordie I'm glad I'm done with that quilt. *shudder* Evil thing.

Hmm...I only see four corners, Rose -- did you go around one of them twice? ;) Nice quilt!

That's because it sprouts the fifth corner and stealthily sucks it back in when I'm not looking. It's a sneaky quilt.

Pics are up:

(It's a bit of fluff. I didn't see it before I took the pic and I was too lazy to go back downstairs and take another pic. :-D )

Happens to me all the time. I will be just certain that I have navigated 5 to 7 corners before I get back to "square one" only to discover that there's still One More to get around. Where do they come from? Polly

They come from the same place odd socks go to when you wash!

How is it possible to put three pairs of socks in the wash and come out with 5 socks - one pair and three odds?

Wish I knew, I'd squash it for sure!

One of the quilts already drawn in my 'getting ready to do box' is circular >g< What will the little demons do then? >g< . In message , Polly Esther writes

I think it's on a direct link to the Bermuda Triangle. I have a drawer full of odd socks!

I saw more than 5 corners! Nice quilt! Amazing that you have people tall enough to hold your quilts for pics. Thanks for sharing.

Probably the newsgroup. Something to do with our cyberspace quilt frame, a few more than 4 dimensions. Get over it. A few extra corners is a small price to pay. Roberta in D

Hehe, that's not a large quilt so it's DH behind it. He's only 5' 10". Two of our sons are 6 feet tall (and the younger of those two is still sprouting, we have no idea where he's going to end up) and one is just under 6 foot.

DH says his uncles are tall. The boys certainly don't get their height from MY side of the family, that's for sure. But they do make excellent quilt hangers when I need to take a pic. :-D

I have to confess that I've never even seen the book, much less learned proper McTavishing in any way. My "McTavishing" is the illegitimate child of Ricky Tims' "ricky-doodles" from his Grand Finale DVD, several pictures of McTavishing that I saw on the web, the mere notion of doodling on fabric, and my fevered imagination. It was fun, even though I hated the quilt top. Very time-consuming, very thread-intensive, but fun.

I highly recommend Ricky Tims' DVD _Grand Finale_. Very very good stuff. NAYY.
