To Ms. Bernie, the long running and faithful sewing machine. On this day in 1973 Bernie, the Bernina 830 Record became a part of our family, first turning out lovely garments under my mothers skilled hands and then helping me put together all nature of fabricy things. Shes still in great shape, and has most of her original parts, and for her birthday I presented her with a set of 25 new bobbins! (thank you, Frood for the ebay recommendation).
