Di -- in looking at your quilts (which are lovely) I saw something that caught my eye... a reference regarding a child's charity quilt -- to the "tubular" sclerosis charities). I suspect you meant Tuberous Sclerosis -- how are you familiar with that specific genetic syndrome? I'm curious -- because my son was diagnosed with TSC when he was 1 year old -- so it has been a part of my life for a very long time.

Di, Your quilts are just plain "drop dead gorgeous". I am so very taken with Oriental design. I absolutely love them. Now just be aware that when you decide to dispose of any of them, please contact me and I will most certainly rush my address to you so that there will be no delay in you getting them in the post to me. OK???? Hee Hee!!! So very beautiful. Marlys in Indiana

Your quilts, Diane are showstoppers. You deserve your web page if only to give others the pleasure of sharing. Irene - Cheshire.

Welcome to RCTQ Diane. Your quilts are absolutely gorgeous - my eyes got wider and wider! Congratulations on your 'For the Love of Kamon' - you must be so very proud of it.

I loved 'Oriental Dreams' too - the way the silk shone. In fact I thought everything was stunning!

I went to Malvern for the first time this year, next year plan to do the NEC and tickets for Chilford arrived this morning. We had a little Group meet up at Malvern - there are photos in my Webshots.

Incidently, I'm in Suffolk (the original one!).

Hi all

Thank you very much for your kind comments.

Yes Debra 'For the love of Kamon' was quilt as you go. It is a method that I am very fond of.

Roberta I really thought that 'Magic Tiles' was a Karen Stone design, but on checking

I find that it is by Kathleen Bissett.

I must change the web site. It is so long since I made the quilt and the pattern was one that I did in class while I

was learning to quilt. It looks very complicated but as long as you are very careful when you shift the pieces it

isn't to bad. If you look at the design carefully you can see that it is actually made up of blocks of squares with nine shapes in

them. It is the shifting that puts the colours in different positions. The original design had twelve of these squares and it took twelve

fat quarters. I made it fifteen so it would fit a single bed. Good luck. I have seen it made in many different colours and it

always looks great.

Thanks again all for your encouraging remarks. I have been working for the last year on a Celtic quilt. It is thank goodness

nearing completion so long as I don't muck it up at the last minute. Cross your fingers for me.

Welcome Diane - what an introduction! Beautiful quilts. When I saw Love of Kamon on your site, I remember having spent ages gazing it and loving it at Malvern last year. The photo, unfortunately, cannot give the full beauty of the fabric and the quilting. I hope you'll keep in touch and let us see your work as you do more lovely things.
