Oh my ... craft show exhaustion

I, of course, procrastinated in getting ready for the craft show and ended = up working madly to get bindings stitched down and buttons stitched on the = past week. I took 11 little arty quilts and three journal covers. Everybody= who came by picked up the journal covers and said 'Oh wow, these are great= !' and put them down. But the little quilts sold, 9 of them. Well, one I ba= rtered for a gorgeous piece of stained glass and two others I bartered for = half cash value and four hair cuts plus those amazing feather things people= are weaving into their hair. What a hoot. I forgot to take photos of the q= uilts. Whatever. I did not think they'd sell -- they were all very small ( =

20 x 20 inches was by far the largest) and they sold for $40 and $45 each.

I'm exhausted. My work room looks like a wild animal was in here throwing t= hings around, swearing, stumbling over piles of things and strewing fabric = and gadgets and thread all over .... oh, wait. That was me. Never mind.

But it feels really good to have sold some things. I got many compliments. = One young woman (in her 20s) picked up one of my tiny quilts (about 10" x 1=

2") and started to cry a bit. She paid for it, hugged me and told me she ha= d never seen anything that went straight to her heart. (Polly, it was a fre= e- motion tree with a Psalm's verse under it ... I swear I made it thinking= of you.)=20

I am happy and tired and ate too much craft show food (wow, some folks can = bake like crazy) and I wouldn't do it again before next Christmas for anyth= ing. But I am going to open an Etsy shop. Just as soon as I get a few more = things made.=20
