OT Special pictures taken

I just returned from Florida where I visited my 90 yo mom as well as my son and his family. While there, I was able to get pictures of family "hands". The pictures included one hand of my mom, me, our DIL and our grand daughter - four generations. Then I took one of my DH, my son and our grandson. They will each be framed along with pictures of the people. I had always wanted to do these and finally had the chance to do so. The hands were photographed against a large piece of black fabric from my quilt stash.

I will post these on my website and will let you know when they are posted if you're interested in seeing them. If you have multiple generations and the opportunity to do this, it may be something you'd like to plan.

That's a great idea, Alice. I wish I had thought of that before Grandpa passed. His hands were quite interesting, and it would have been a unique way to create a memory.

Didn't someone start a project like that years ago within RCTQ? Or maybe I'm having another brain burp!

No, I seem to remember that too but didn't remember it until you reminded me.

I remember doing an applique' of my hand in red on white and signing it and sending it to someone. It was...maybe 7 or 8 years ago?

That's what I had been thinking, but I wasn't sure I was remembering correctly. I think that was back in my lurking days and I figured if I sent in a picture of my hands, no one would know who I was anyway!

Ok, now I'm trying to remember...who did the "hands" project?
