A few days ago, I was delighted to find a lovely squishie in the mail! A very nice floral FQ, with lavender & blue flowers & a black background.
The only clue I have is the Postal Cancellation...Pocatello, ID. No return address, and just a label with "Happy Birthday" on the baggie inside.
I've looked through my last RCTQ Directory from a while back, and can't seem to find an Idaho resident.
Anyway, whoever you are...It was a very welcome surprise, and a wake-up call, that is truly appreciated & needed.
I need to reconnect with all of you & my sewing machine sometime in the next few months.
Just a little year in review:
DGS#1 started kindergarden this year. DGS#2 is now 21 months, and the perfect little brother. Both DGS's & DD#2 still live with us, but it's working very well.
DD#3, the one with the medical issues, has been through some stressfull medical turns, but they are under control for now & the new BF is wonderful & supportive of her problems. They are talking about a wedding some time in the not to distant future. Debbie is still @ home of course.
DS got married in July to his perfect sweetheart, Krystal. It only took 5 years! The wedding was perfect in every way.
DD#1 & her DH are doing well, and have blessed us with another DGD - another Black Lab, this one female.
Medical update:
The nasal surgery last winter & the subsequent Sleep study procured a BiPAP for me, which has done wonders for my weight, energey level & alertness. I've lost 47 pounds since January.
One week before DS's wedding, my stomach decided it would not tolerate my pain reliever any longer, so I was in the hospital for a while to get it under control, and the Nexium worked great, but now all I can take for pain is codiene, which keeps me pretty housebound, except for Dr apppointments.
At the beginning of September, my body decided that the Hydro Thermal Ablation I had done last December was a temporary relief. Another trip to the hospital. As a result, I will be having a Hysterectomy in November.
Other than that, life is good, one day at a time. I'm grateful for every day with the grandchildren & grand dogs - all 4 of them, and our "adult offspring" & their partners.
I'm most grateful for the time DH & I have together now, that we didn't have while raising children & both of us working. Sometime what life gives you isn't what you would ask for, but it is what you need.
Also, I am grateful for friends I've never met in person, but who are there to brighten my life whenever & however they wish.
Please feel free to reply directly. If I don't get back to you immediately, I'm either upstate, or under the covers.
Love & Blessings, Royce, aka Hon-a A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel.
