Question to wash or not to wash

Howdy!

I wash the fabric. Dan-the-bug-man shows up here every 3 months and uses a "green" chemical for scaring off bugs; the stash fabric stays clean and bug-free. After working at the LQS 6 days a week it was amazing the filth that new fabric left on my hands. I don't miss that part. ;-)

And Dan keeps telling me about fabric sellers who are his clients, and people who have quilt tops that need to be Finished, and tells others about my quilts and yahoo site pics. I like Dan.

Ragmop/Sandy--washes the bb swap fabric, too, in a pillowcase

Thanks so much. That's good info. I should have thought about using a mesh bag! That's what I'll do with the rest of the pieces.

If they're already cut pieces and they shrink your blocks won't be the right size. Or if they're small pieces you cut pieces from they might shrink enough you won't be able to use them.

Ooo. Good thought. Ack. Now I don't know what to do. Another thing I thought of was, I have already sewn together 4 of the blocks non-pre-washed. So, I should probably not mix the quilt with washed & nonwashed blocks, right?
