My son loved the picture......of course, he asked if it was me . I suppose that is because I do the same look at him when we are in silly mode

Well, thanks to all of your tips and tricks, I have managed a beautiful square that is actually square and the correct size to boot! I figured my problem was in the seam allowance, and that was the key! I put on a thick stack of post-its and made it a scant 3/4" (I know what that is now!) seam allowance which made my square beee-ooootifullll!

THANK YOU ONE AND ALL! (Yes, I felt like shouting at the top of my lungs!)
