Washing your quilts

I like to iron it so it lays dead flat when I cut it. Just a quirk of mine.

Thanks. I'd never heard of these before.

I'm going to look for them the next time I go shopping.

Especially when they're line dried. I love the smell of fresh bedding from the washline. One of the benefits of living out in the country. :^)

Mmmm. I don't usually use detergent or softener, but I dry on the line whenever I can and I can never resist sniffing my laundry when I take it down. Delicious!

So do I, but with my allergies, there is too much airborne stuff landing on the sheets for me. And now, living in a condo, I don't have access to a clothesline.

I have an *enormous* container of Orvus, purchased years ago and still more than half full. I really like using it, but I generally forget about it, unless it's a "special" quilt.

Marie, clip the corners off the fabric before you wash them and you won't have as many ravels. It also lets you know which fabric has been washed.

I just hate to see someone going to all the trouble of hand washing when she could be SEWING!!!

LOL
