could someone answer this question for me?

I'm a Kindergarten teacher, and I use a lot of scrapping tools in making games and such for the classroom. I'm hoping some of you can help me with a question so I don't waste money if my solution won't work.

What I wonder is, are eyelets attracted to a magnet? If yours do, I'd like to know what brand/size they are - i'm not sure if all eyelets do, or some, or none at all. To be useful, they'll need to be big enough that a square of paper at least 2 inches wide, will cling to a magnet.

Thanks for your help!

take a magnet to the store with you and see if the size and color you want is attracted. Would that be easier. Then you can see first hand on YOUR color and size.

I run a daycare and I checked the eyelet box I have with a wand from a Magnetic Express - no luck with any eyelet or even a snap in the box, and I have eyelets from everywhere.. BUT, It picked up an entire unopened package of large brads from JoAnn's Essentials. Every box of brads I tried from JoAnn's worked with a magnet. Don't know if that helps or not, or if you could use brads instead of eyelets.

There are two different kinds of eyelet - thin aluminium ones (that of course are non-ferrous) and thicker harder-to-use steel ones. Scrappers generally prefer the aluminium ones because they're softer and much easier to set.
