Ellison products at Target

I just got an email from Sizzix that Ellison products will be sold at Targets. They have a link to Target stores that will carry their products here:

The email said this: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Your favorite retail place is now welcoming ellison design into its creative space. At select Target locations across the country, you can now find more of our ultra-expressive ellison design products, including several Target exclusives!

Just for you, the Tag-a-long Bonus Kit includes the Tag-a-long portable die-cutting and embossing machine, along with a pair of Cutting Pads, some cool paper and added surprises like three special Thin Cuts Dies and an Easy Emboss Phrase. Made only for Target, these include, respectively, Lips & Kisses, Daisies and a Nested Squares Frame, as well as the "Love" Phrase.

But the exclusives don't stop there! Target guests will also find several "Target only" Thin Cuts, Easy Emboss and Extended Cutsdesigns. For current product availability, check these Target locations. These special offerings will also be available at Target.com. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I got that e-mail too. But ever since I saw the first Ellison machine sitting in a scrapbook store right next to the Sidekick, I've been confused. They're the same thing, made by the same company. What am I missing here?

Not that I'm complaining, mind you - if it means a whole new line of compatible dies, then I'm all in. But I've been confused about these sibling products for months now.

The only one within reasonable driving distance of me didn't make it either. Heck, if I drive to the closest one to me on the list I would almost be at the barn. I'm saving my money for the trip.... Sandy

I can't believe of all the Targets (there are 4) near me that not one made it on the list!

I got that email too. I was going to go check it out after work. I thought our Target was getting rid of their scrapbooking stuff as most of it has been on sale lately, but I guess they were just making room for new stock.

My local Target store already has the products available. I couldn't believe it. So far, all I saw was a few dies. Some were $7.99 and some that came with more than one were $19.99.

Well, my bank balance is safe... the nearest Target on their list is

45 minutes away and not anyplace we ever go! Shame - there's a Target ten minutes away from us but it's not on their list.

Of course, the Little Rock store isn't on the list, but I noticed the one in Conway is. But I must save up for the Barn. Resist! Resist! LOL

I just looked at ours-same thing, dies are available, but not the machine. Most were $7.99. To bad you can't use a JoAnns coupon at Target! Kathy

I already got a couple of the dies that are suppose to be "target" exclusives on ebay and for less than the $7.99 that target is charging. The dies work in the sidekick, they are basically the same as the sizzlits except the plastic color on the back is green instead of red. The bigger diecutter is where they get you, the thicker dies are too wide to cut with the sizzix.
