Favorite subject to scrap

Ok, so what's your favorite subject to scrap...vacation, children (yours or neice/nephew/grandchildren, etc), birthdays, holidays, friends, pets, etc etc etc?? My favorite subject to scrap would have to be my kiddos. I have more pics of DD & DS than anything! LOL However, at some point in time I really want to do a BOM.

Great Thread Deb! My favorite subject is my kids. I seem to have more of DD done than DS but they are primarily her Dance photos....you know, the portrait type which seem to be easier to scrap. DS just wasn't involved in that much but I hope to get more of his pics done soon. s

Great thread Deb! When there are kiddies around they get my vote, but since that isn't very often in my life right now, I'd have to say that just everyday things that make me smile. And lots of things make me smile! Hmmm I just had an idea, I should probably do a layout on the RCS website, LOL! Never thought of doing that until I wrote this! Hmmm screen shots and... wouldn't be way weird!

I'm probably like most mothers - pictures of my children. I find myself doing more of their pictures of activities like baseball, scouts, soccer, etc.....especially the two younger ones who are still at home. My older kids have children now and I do some of the grandchildren (activities and holidays mostly). I figure the older ones (29 and 30) can eventually scrap their own if I never get caught up (what a novel concept). My 20 year old is an on and off again scrapper and does many of her own pages and my 12 year old is starting to do a great job on her own, too - we consult over many of the LO's and I do double pics a lot for her. My Mom probably feels the same way about her grandkids! LOL I know that if she ever does get into SB'ing, her grandkids will be her main theme.

That's so great that your 12 yr old is getting into scrapping! DD (6 yrs) likes to "help" me stamp & scrap. Just last night she was looking through my craft stuff for something in particular. Hmmm....is 6 too young to start scrapping?

But MC, you take "everyday things" and scrap them into masterpieces!

I like variety! With 5 children there is plenty!! I loved scrapbooking my cat and am now enjoying scrapbooking my 15 week old golden retriever puppy!

I also love to scrapbook photographs I have taken of nature, the snow, sunsets etc. Christmas is always special to scrapbook.

My favourite pages are probably the ones of pictures taken in the Fall - I love those colours!!!

My 6 year old scrapbooks and my 11 year old boy enjoys it so much that he has taken responsibility for his grade six year scrapbook at school - that will go out to all the students :)

I think its wonderful handing down this hobby to them - preserving their memories and remembering their childhoods - and I have found that their photography skills have really improved since they started scrapbooking too!

They help with my albums too by saving me all kinds of souvenirs and clippings to add to their pages and by reminding me of special moments for me to journal!

Deb in AR asked:

Most of my albums have been family-oriented, so I'd say documenting family history. Enjoyed working on the travel album & the memorial album for a friend, too.

I would love to say my little girl but I haven't scrapped much of her. I keep doing layouts for everyone else :)

I don't have any albums for myself. I have maybe 2 things that I have scrapped in my house. The rest I've given to family or friends. I love to give :)

One day I'll get to her layouts and of course when Allison is born get to hers.. For now I've taken lots of pictures so its all good :)

its usually kids and grandkids..but right now I've discovered the thrill of

8x8's and i'm making a book of the time we live here at Tybee Island. I'm pretty excited about working on it. Been buying special stuff for it. Found a laser die cut of the Tybee Lighthouse yesterday. Hunting Bazzill paper for it.. lol.. I'm also working on a little 6x6 just for me titled my favorites.. a special picture of my husband, kids, grandkids and then I'll do a page on scrapping, reading etc.. stuff I like. I'm having fun with these little books.
