Same to you. All of my children were in for Thanksgiving, and the only grandchild missing was the one who lives in SC. Friday DH, DD and DS joined me on my Black Friday tour. They never go, but I think DH wanted to go beacuse of all the issues our family has faced the last few weeks. We had a great time. Even hit both malls, Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and several other stores. DH is great in the traffic, I'm glad he was driving, and I know lots of short-cuts and back ways into the shopping areas. Because of our time difference we were ready for lunch by noon and as it was 11 their time we were the first ones in the door. Beat that crowd too. The best deal was the dvd/vhs combos that were on early morning special at Pamida - they ran out of the $39.95 ones and substituted $119 Magnavox ones. Sandy
Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving weekend! After the hectic work at the bakery this week, I decided to go over to my dads in Peoria Wednesday night and spend the night. I cooked thanksgiving dinner for him and my sister and I. They are spending Christmas in Florida with my other sisters this year, so I wanted to at least get to see them for this holiday! It was great. We stayed up talking til 1:00am, and then I slept til 8AM! ( I never sleep that late! LOL) I had to get up and make pies and all that cooking to do too! My sis baked me a birthday cake, my birthday was Saturday, but they already had bought me my present from QVC last month...lol It was all good! I finally got home around 8PM that night. My DH and sons spent the day at his familys' house this year. The boys didnt want to travel so far to eat dinner, and besides, it was nice having dad and sis all to myself! HAHA I was missing mom really bad too, but we made the best of it (Thinking of you too Sandy!) Happy Holidays! :-)
