I was doing some scrap-collage and I decided it would make cute christmas trees... I don't usually make more than one card of a design, but it was too much work to just do one!

Awesome!!! You did so good. Hope I can come up with some as good.

Karen, I love the way you make use of all of your scraps. They are all great, but I love the trees best. Isn't there a name for using all of the pieces of paper together like that? I seem to remember a discussion about this a few years ago. I love the way it looks. My scrap box is getting full again.

Nice cards Karen! Love the collage look for the tree cards.

Sandy, could you be thinking about the serendipity 'thing' ? (for lack of a better word..oh yeah..technique..lol) Linda

That's it! I seem to remember Deb doing squares like them to use on pages. If my mind is working right.....

Yeah... they're really a big serendipity square only I cut it into tree shapes... I'm going to be doing a LOT of improvising for my christmas cards this year because I have so few traditional christmas embellishments left. I've already done the backgrounds for my February ones - more green collage! It really makes a little decorative paper got a long way, even pieces that seem to be too small to be useful at all.

Karen, these turned out great. Just like everyone else, I love how you used scraps. It is a great way to use those pesky little bits of paper and create a very unique card. Maybe we can make that our extra challenge for next months card.
