OT: good news

i got two great surprises yesterday. my mystery auction from ebay came finally in the mail. cool stuff in it. alot of jolee's three dimensional stickers, die cuts with a view sayings stickers (travel and vacation), which is great since we're going on vacation tomorrow, guitar picks and a few other oddball things. then, i was asked to teach a class at our LSS for my purse albums! i'm so excited i just had to share with the group. i recieved a heidi swapp mini iron, but sorry to say i don't know what to use it for. any ideas? i live in a small town that nobody has them, so i've never know what to use them for. help!!! thanks to everyone for making me feel right at home and for the great advice!

Hi Anjii! I have never heard of a mystery auction on Ebay! sounds interesting. I have heard of those mini irons, but the only thing I can think of using it for might be for ribbons or making creases for folding projects? *guessing!* Have fun with all your goodies!

You could do the same with velvet or velvet ribbon for a real luxury feel - put over the stamp and iron to get the imprint. (I haven't tried it myself but I have seen it in magazines.)

Congrats on teaching the class Anji! Do you get paid for it, or get free stuff from the LSS? The mystery auction sounds like it was a neat treat. I've never used a Heidi Swapp iron, but I see that you've already had a couple good ideas about it.
