#1 Techniques ?

I know most of us don't like to use with just one technique but I was wondering what the technique everyone has been using more of?

I have two at the moment:

1) circles (all shapes and sizes) on layouts 2) stamping

Just curious!

The techniques I seem to be using a lot at the moment are:

  1. Punching out flowers and layering them and altering them
  2. Sewing (machine & hand sewing) - my cards and layouts just don't seem to be complete without it!

I've been using my really cool leaf punch a lot since I got it in May. It punches a leaf shape into the paper you're using leaving part of the leaf skeleton we'll call it to be folded over. So, it looks really nice with double sided paper. I've experimented with using inks on the back side of non double side paper to give it contrast. I've also been doing a lot of sewing. Just love the homey look of the sewing. I do it on my sewing machine.

Been working on my title swap today. Having a good time catching up on some movies while tearing paper. Kids are at camp and I actually for the first time got a postcard from one of them. Yahoo! It's not above 100 degrees today for a nice change. Just 98, but the most incredible thing about my craft room is that it's the coolest room in the house. Yeah!

vellum with brads or eyelets (I hate when even the vellum tape runner shows through!)

What a great idea on the inking the non-double sided paper for the leaf punch! I bought the flower while at the barn sooooo I will have to try that technique out.

I have forgotten to use my sewing machine lately. I think I am still not over sewing on 12 or so Barn Swap Layouts. LOL

Thanks for everyone's responses! I have been enjoying reading them. You have also given ideas on things I have bothered to pick up and use lately. (ie. chalk, sewing) Although the last time I tried embossing (wet) I made a huge mess ... so I think I will skip that for a while longer. LOL.

You guys know me, my favorite is always stamping. No, I'm not a stamp addict, and I don't need recovery. LOL But I also like tearing, too. The last scrapping I did was for the Barn page swap. How sad is that!

Sounds like you are in denial about being a stamp addict. Since I agree with you that no recovery is needed I won't give you the 5 step process of recovery. First of which is denial. LOL!!!

I haven't had a chance to scrap much either since the Barn trip. I have made a few cards to hold me over though.

What is the best way to adhere a transparency sheet to your layout. I bought one and now don't know how to use it.

Brads, stitching, nail heads. Apply glue in the corner and cover the corners with something to hide the glue.
