OT: Yahoo Problems

About 1 1/2 weeks ago, someone hijacked our Yahoo account and changed the password. We are still in the process of trying to get Yahoo to let us back into the account. We have been able to answer 19 of their 20 questions (not really that many, but it sounds good!), but they still don't believe we are who we say we are. This account was set up 10+ years ago, so it is hard to remember the answers to all their questions (email address and credit cards change). So as of now, we have no access to our primary email account, address book or photo account and no way to contact people to let them know that the address is not good anymore. This doesn't affect contacting me through the newsgroup as that uses and earthlink account which is much safer than Yahoo.

My advice is to check and update your email account information and write it down and keep it someplace safe. That way if someone steals your account, you have all the necessary answers to the questions to prove your identity. Hopefully Yahoo will straighten this out and we can at least get back into the account and get our address book.

Also if you use Yahoo as your primary email address, find something safer as they really don't want to help you figure out what has gone wrong. In their eyes, we are the bad guys trying to access someone else's account.
