I have no idea who did this, but it is really neat so I thought I'd share the find. The bid is up to $158.05 but she has made something that I think is both neat and beautiful.

What a neat idea!!! Makes me want to run home (I'm at work) and make one of those up for myself!!!

That's really neat!!
Wow, what great work! Can't say I would pay that much though but I am sure the hours and supplies are worth it.
It is pretty, lots of work seems to have gone into it.

Wow. That is definitely a piece of art. Not sure I could spend $158 on it though. Whew.

69 pages done in 2004I'd be willing to let someone pay me that much though!!
I looked at it this morning and was so impressed in a very loving and admiringly way. Went back now (It's currently selling for $177) to revisit that item and look at some of her other work and discovered she lives in my tiny city! Ohmygawd! So, likitysplit I sent her an email inviting/asking to "scrap" with her sometime. Never hurts, dontcha know. :)
Aren't you the lucky one!!! It's strange how things happen, isn't it! I hope that she says yes and that you get to have lots of fun. And by all means, when you are comfortable with her,do invite her to join us... that way we can all get to know her!
Wow...that is very pretty! I'm not sure I would pay that much for it, but I know just the time, energy, supplies, & creativity that have gone into it make it worth it. This is one talented lady!
This is a work of art! Such talent! It reminds me of the knid of scrapbooks my grandmother did when she was a teen. Sandy in Southern Indiana
Absolutly beautiful!
nice work. But I don't think I'd personally pay that much for it.
Yes, she did write me back, and promptly too. She was very humble and generous with ideas and has said she'd love to be invited to scrap with me and my friends. I really like the feeling I got about her from her email to me. And now I'm even more eager to befriend her. I also told her about our little googlegroup here and invited her to take a look around.
We must remember she didn't try to sell it for that price, it's market demand propelling the work. And personally, I think it's well worth the money if you don't scrap but want scrapbooks. I've seen much higher prices out there for stuff. Melissa in Shoreline Pages in 2005: 31
I've lost the posting with the web addy....could someone give it again, pretty please :)

Speaking of high dollar Ebay scrap items... Has anyone taken a look at the paper piecings by Olivia? Here's one that's up over $100 (FOR A PAPER PIECING!!!)
We were ooogling her pieces a few weeks ago here on the RCS and they are incredible. Very cute, but not something I'd pay $100+ dollars for. I love looking at them though. Thanks for posting her latest work.
Lynne
Yep. I think they're really cute myself, but also think I could probably do something similar for a lot less :) Of course, I guess if you don't scrap...

I tried a very basic mulberry gingerbread boy. It wasn't easy, but after making 12 of them I discovered techniques to make it easier. Not sure though I'd enjoy making a lot of them. Although for $100 a pop maybe I could get over it. hehe
