Update for Sandy from Clearsnap

Sandy,

Just received the response below from Clearsnap about the Colorbox Cat's = Eye Fluid Chalk. Still don't think that this response clears up the = issue...LOL They say their scrapbookers are all chalking like mad and = not reporting adverse effects...it is unlikely to show up = instantly....ROFL I think I would err on the side of caution and stick = to a fluid chalk that IS acid free. Marilyn

********************** Thank you for your email. On the Acid Free issue, these inks are not all technically "Acid Free", because in order to determine acidity the ink is in liquid form and in liquid form the inks lean towards the acid side of the scale. They are NOT extremely acidic just not pH neutral. On the plus side, the "Chalking" element of the inks is quite basic and seems to stabilize any acidic effects after the ink dries. They do have good archival qualities, once dried completely, our scrap booking artists are all avid Chalk users and have not called in any adverse effects in their projects or any of the classes that taught. Have a great day, April Thomas Clearsnap Inc

LOL.....Do you think that they hang on to all the queries on the same = topic and do one canned email and send it to everyone....ROFL. = Personally, I think the response is a bit of a red herring! If people = are being careful with what they use to ensure the longevity of the = LO's, why would they jeopardize that on the basis of this wishy-washy = response from Clearsnap. I don't have any of their products but liked = the idea of the little pads and petal shapes. Guess who will NOT be = buying their stuff now...LOL
