Bleaching black underwear

While cleaning out the garage, I discovered a box of old clothes thatgot packed away several moves ago. One of the treasures was severalunopened packages of brand new underwear. The bad news is that theyare black. I must have bought them in my goth period.I am considering bleaching them to see if I can lighten the color. I'mhoping for gray. Is this possible or will I get green?If so, how much bleach would I use?
