One of the Emmy award winners had a darling gown, but the still photos show that it was pretty wrinkled; how could this have been prevented?
Would underlining with silk organza help? Is it possible that the dress was simply not pressed sufficiently before wearing?
It could also be that the actress fidgeted too much out of nervousness!

Silk taffeta crushes/wrinkles very easily and not much can be done about it, IMHE. Remember the late Diana, Princess of Wales on her wedding day? How she emerged from the carriage with a gown some in the pressed called "crumpled Kleenex"? Her gown was silk taffeta and considering how much planning and cost went into it, one would think SOMEONE would have brought this to either Diana's or her handler's attention. IIRC the dressmaker/designer was there to meet Diana, and she did straighten out/fluff up the train a bit, but that was pretty much was all one could do at that point. And when you think of how many knock-offs and Vogue pattern copies were made of that dress.
