Is it worth it to restore a Singer 31-15

I have everything in a box, and I realize that it matters if I have all the parts and things like that. I'm just interested if it is worth restoring to a working condition, for a sewing machine around the shop. I like to take tarp and make a cover or two, that is my only goal. My best to you all....Grandpa Peter

Always worth restoring, even if you don't get it to work on the heavy tarp. These older machines are so much fun to restore just for themselves. I'm not into industrials myself (no room!), but I do love getting an older machine working again.

I'd vote yes. Especially if you like repairing things.

If you do not like restoring, or you do not have the time, there is a large group of people out there who would like/love to restore something like that and put it back into service. So, please consider not scrapping it if you decide to not restore. (including me)

I recently restored a Singer 66 class machine it sews like a champ, just an old 1928 singer straight stitch but a very nice stitch and it sounds pleasant too. robb
