Pattern weights

Mom held her patterns down with the green-glass salt shaker and other things found in the kitchen. I used to use books. Today, I went into the garage and brought back a six-volt, four amp-hour battery with a sticker on the side that says "brick".

I've never used bricked batteries from the uninterruptible power supplies as pattern weights, but they are great for flattening things.

I have some lead donuts that work very well. I suspect a UPS battery owrks great.

I use a set of Brass imperial kitchen weights as they are obsolete for actual weighing.
