I'm I don't know, somewhere inbw a beginner and an intermediate sewer. I have an upcoming wedding to go to and I'd like to make this dress for it.
I've found NewLook patterns to be better fit than Simplicity patterns in general. They have more of a "European" fit, for lack of a better word, that has less ease than a standard Simplicity patterns.
I don't know if they'd be considered 'easy', but they go together well, IME. The only times I've had a problem with a NL pattern it was user error, not the fault of the pattern.
