Hi, I'm Judith and I am once again trying to learn to sew well, rather than adequately, I found you when searching for information on steam pressers. I need one! My problems generally have more to do with language rather than tricky sewing techniques. My machine is a Singer, but bought here in Italy and the book is simpler than any sewing machine book I have ever had and in Italian. I speak Italian, but sewing Italian is a different language. Brands are often different names here, too, so I have to search a lot to find out who rally makes something so I can gather English language reviews or comments. I shall now retire to a corner and listen in so maybe when I post next I will sound intelligent.

Hi Judith,
Welcome! May I suggest you also subscribe to the alt.sewing newgroup, that one seems to be more active with more posts than this group is.

Welcome Judith, We are glad to have you. As Irene mentioned please join us at alt. sewing also. It is a more active group and you will be glad you came. Don't retire to a corner though. Ask what ever comes to mind. No matter what you may think about a question I think you will get an answer to unless we just don't have one. Juno
Glad to have you aboard. We always welcome people to come here and the alt.sewing group. Stay awhile, ask any necessary questions and some of us will try to answer them. Emily
