Re; Axminster chucks

If you can get hold of the Axminster chuck then I am sure you will be delighted with it. I have the Axminster woodturner's chuck and am really pleased with the build and precision. You can get numerous types of jaw for the chuck and whilst Jim says that you can put the jaws on the jaw carriers and just slide them in and out of the chuck, rather than unscrewing them each time, it does put for us in the UK, an extra £20+ for each set of jaws. I have 7 sets of jaws which would make it expensive for me as a hobbyist but professionals I know do use the additonal jaw carriers for speed and cost effectiveness though.

I could not recomend the product or the company highly enough

If you need to get hold of Axminster, they are on snipped-for-privacy@axminster.co.uk or by telephone on 00 - 44 - 01297-33656 and I know they would only be too delighted to help.

I have no involvement with Axminster other than being a very satisfied customer (but if they read this and want me to test their equipment without having to buy it first, I will do so willingly)

Regards

Paul
