I wouldn't go so far as to say they suck in general, but they are highly variable. I've got Clover circs that I've been using for years and years and are still in great shape, nice join, cords still smooth because my kids never got to this set. OTOH, I've bought and discarded sets for various reasons. I've had much better luck with Plymouth in terms of more consistent. I really like, and have started to replace my circs with, the Addi Natura bamboos. I haven't had any cords kink on me, and believe me I've tried Cost a bit more than Clover or Plymouth, but worth it to me. I will admit that the only reason I haven't tried rosewood is price; why pay that much more when I'm happy with something else. I guess I'm just cheap that way

I don't have a problem with it. Then again, I'm in Southern California and very seldom have to wear anything warmer than a light sweater for warmth. If I needed the warmth I'd use a tighter gauge.

I just started that Noro sweater last night, knitting to the gauge given in the pattern - 18 sts, 24 rows to 4" on 5.00 mm needles - and it's turning out to be a lovely drapey fabric, just fine for what I want. A tighter fabric wouldn't allow the front to fall open as in the picture, and that's the main reason this sweater caught my eye in the first place.
