Thank you sweetheart, would you believe it is going to be 70 years.....what a shocker.....

Nora, you just followed my oldest daughter with your birthday wishes. She just talked to me on ICHAT a minute ago, to tell me that I better enjoy my last day of my 69th year....LOL Peggy and her husband gave me an ICHAT computer for my birthday, so we can talk and see one and other at the same time. Lots of fun. The kids and grand daughters, all live in Toronto, except for our son who lives in Chattanooga Tennessee.

I am going to bake a huge cake with lots of good icing and whipped cream. So you guys better get your broom sticks out and come on over, where ever you are. Throwing all caution to the wind for just one day.....LOL

My oldest sister did this for quite a while after being told that she was diabetic (on pills, not the needle to control it). A few months ago though, her doctor checked her again to find that her sugar levels had gone quite high since the last time he checked her. He suggested the needle, and she asked him to give her the chance to get it under control with diet instead. He gave her the go-ahead, but warned her that if it hadn't settled down the next time he checked her she would *have* to start using the needle. Sure enough, with diet and exercise, she managed to get her sugar under control and really impressed her doctor who told her that he honestly didn't think she would be able to control herself enough to do it. She was VERY overweight, and lost quite a bit.
