I've been watching this over and over. I love it! I saved it to my desktop. I've already talked to the assistant principal about trying to get something together like this for during assemblies next year at school. Thinking about this one, Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire, etc.

How cool, that was fantastic, a good way to start the day or finish it.
Thanks for posting it.
I enjoyed that. Thank you, Lorraine. Oh my, how I would like to have been there. Polly
Oh, heavens, I would love to do something like this!

The best part is to see the non-participants along the sides, "groovin' to the music" :-). I especially enjoyed the little old ladies who were dancing along and everyone either clapping or jivin'. Just great to see folks enjoying the "spontaneous" entertainment. CiaoMeow >^;;^<
Not sure how "SPONTANEOUS" it was -- as it looked pretty choreographed to me. But I'm sure it was at the least totally unexpected by the passersby.
Do you all think it was spontaneous? Just to synchronized to be happenstance from my perspective.
that said -- wish I had been there -- sure would have been said!
(hit send too soon!)
You can check the "More" info on the right hand side of the page under the posters name.
"More than 200 dancers were performing their version of "Do Re Mi", in the Central Station of Antwerp. with just 2 rehearsals they created this amazing stunt! Those 4 fantastic minutes started the 23 of march 2009, 08:00 AM. It is a promotion stunt for a Belgian television program, where they are looking for someone to play the leading role, in the musical of "The Sound of Music".
It's still fun to watch!
NO -- I knew it couldn't possibly have been spontaneous on the part of the participants. What I meant was this performance didn't appear to be an "advertised" event. The minor participation of the audience was a spontaneous enjoyment of the performance. I did see a clip of one of these performances where the audience actually DID get involved. The performers went through their routine and then started grabbing folks out of the crows to join in. It was something fairly simple and routine so not too difficult to get people involved. I kept trying to imagine what would it would have looked like at New York's Grand Central Station if this had been pulled off there.
Probably, Security would have been there in a heartbeat to shut it down.

At work there is a large central fountain that was decommissioned years ago. The county planted big bowls of seasonal flowering plants spaced around, and there is a seating area built in surrounding it with a pergola of shade vines. Very pretty. I would love to be part of a clandestine group doing a number in that area duing lunch some day!
You're right, security of the bailiffs would be right on it.
